What was the highest Collier was ever projected to be taken? Was he ever considered a very high pick? If I remember correctly, he was. Here's why I ask: Just because he fell in the mock drafts doesn't mean he is any less talented than when he was projected to go higher. Opinions change. Sometimes for better, sometimes for worse. Quite often they have nothing to do with reality. I'm not saying Collier will be a great player, but I'm interested in seeing what he will bring to the Rockets. ------------------
Well, i really think rudy has a hunch on this guy. I really think he will succeed somehow. He sounds good. But if not, we still got a draft pick for him. ------------------ Rockets games are like a box of chocolates, you never know whacha your gonna get.
Here's a brief history of the 15th pick: 2000 Jason Collier 1999 Frederic Weis 1998 Matt Harpring 1997 Kelvin Cato 1996 Steve Nash 1995 Brent Barry 1994 Eric Piatkowski 1993 Doug Edwards 1992 Anthony Peeler 1991 Anthony Avent 1990 Dave Jamerson (for those who care for whatever reason that's 7 white guys to 4 black guys)
good point Traj, it doesn't matter how high he was projected to be taken. Players sometimes contribute more on a team they fit in better. Maybe Collier will turn out to better than everyone thought. Plus, Indiana love the guy! *hint* *hint* ------------------ Ostertag for Three!!!!!
CBSsportsline.com has him rated as the 13th best in pro-potential. This ranks all players not in the NBA on ability not on where they are projected to go. I think he was rated over Terance Morris. ------------------ "You've got 6 fouls, use them well" -Derrick Coleman
