No, I'm not stoned at McDonald's...

My feet, especially my left one, have been killing me lately. I have high arches, so when I make a foot print only my toes, pad and heel make an imprint. Buying tennis shoes are a real pain in the... uh.. foot.
I'm wondering if I need to get orthotics... Anyone got any experience with this?

from my experience, they will make a mold of your foot and cast an expensive ceramic insert for your shoes that will support your arch

Dude, I've seen this crappy infomercial on TV about a dozen times. They've got this thingie that corrects it.

They're always advertising for the foot store, or something like that.

I've been under that arch... Never got to go in it. I was too busy playing lacrosse at the time.

I don't think that gellin' is going to help him long term, though it might help a bit.

Have you tried different brands of shoes? I've got pretty high arches, and I just CAN NOT wear certain brands of shoes. Adidas is pretty good to my feet, Sketchers is not.

I have a lot of trouble finding shoes. I have New Balance that used to work but my feet hurt again.

Also my calf muscles are incredibly tight and I can't seem to get them to relax at all. I've tried massage but it can be extremely painful. (No happy ending jokes, please...) Usually I like a strong deep tissue massage but if they touch my calf muscles I want to scream.

I, too, have high arches and would very much like to find some shoes that have better support.
