Hidden college fees

These are normal fees at every college. Here is a list of mine for the upcoming Spring semester:

Athletic Fee $150.00
Information Technology Fee $135.00
Infrastructure Fee $60.00
Library Fee $90.00
Student Union Fee $150.00
Arkansas State University-Jonesboro Academic Assessment Fee $5.00
Student Activity Fee $20.00
Yearbook $10.00
Network-Material Fee $95.00
College of Business Undergraduate Support Assessment $240.00


About the only one I can get rid of is Network-Material Fee since it is part of a class I am taking.

 

They have the same fees at SFA, we get charged for a towel fee and I've never seen the school provide not one towel the whole time I've been there. At the wellness center where the football team works out, they tell you to bring your own towel.

 

Remove by not paying. Drop out and get a job.

 

Removing what fee??? The Network-Material? I would have to drop the class.

I suggest talking to the finance folks to find out about those seemingly duplicate fees.

 

every school has fees for that crap......they wont take any off unless you are very very special. for instance, here at OU, we have the "lowest" tuition in the BIG 12...........what they dont tell you, however, is that we have the highest fees of any school in the conference. since im a grad student, this sucks even worse because i dont even have to pay tuition, but i do have to pay the fees every semester!

 

If you have an issue with the fees you should talk to your Dean's Office.

Think about how much the International Students have to pay..

 

Are international rates different than non-resident rates?

I think you can have the rec center fee removed.
