They should have done a reboot to the series, they could have made it as though they started all over again. Also, Peter and Sylar should never have been allowed to have the powers they do, they should have some limitations.
ok. I wasn't sure how much of if was a future that has since been changed. That makes sense. It still makes me mad that they tease us with all of those things and then let us down. We at least need someone other than Sylar to embrace his powers and start progressing as a character.
Peter is alright.. he can only have one power at a time. But yeah, Sylar is just way too powerful. And now, he doesn't even have that "off" switch like he use to. Something needs to be done about him.
I was hooked to Season 1. Watched the first couple episodes of Season 2 and called it quits. Looks like I made the right decision.
He seems to be adding powers slowly. He kept the Suresh powers when he added the speed, and now he has that weird "spinning compass tattoo" power in addition to still having the speed. I think he's back to season 1 Peter, with the exception he has to physically touch someone to gain their power rather than just being in proximity.
No after the wipe and the reinsertion of the syringe he can only have one power at a time. So when he takes an ability from someone he loses the one he had. So when he touched Emma to save her, he took her ability... now he only has that one.
Yeah, I saw that in the latest episode. The spinning compass tattoo must have been part of the speed ability and not a separate thing. In any case, looks like based on the preview of the next episode he'll be packing Hiro's power--which is the true overpowered ability of the series. Maybe they can use it to write their way out of some corners.
The compass comes from Samuel who has the ability to control earth or minerals. Peter hasn't shown any ability control earth or minerals. The compass was only spinning when Peter was standing near Samuel. It could simply be a method of branding Peter as a member of the family. It could be an ink version of Joseph's compass(unknown at this point).
You know what the problem with this show is?? The characters are still freaking confused about what they want to do with their powers. They are still playing with the "aww I have powers and I just want to be normal" storyline. It's been 4 seasons. Seriously, drop it already.
I'm thinking since he caught Hiro at the end of the episode he now no longer has the music ability....he's now the defacto Time Traveller.
I am still watching because I am interested in some of the characters, but here is my thoughts on what the problem is. we don't know who the villain is. We think it is Sylar and we think it is the carnies, but they haven't really done anything to make us know why we should fear them. If they wanted to do it right they would have introduced a few villains and have them actually do something villainous. Why do we like comic books and super hero cartoons? Because we know there are bad guys, they are going to do something bad and the heroes are going to have to stop them/save people. It seems like they are trying to hard to set up twists and turns and they are forgetting to come up with enough heroesque plot. The last season and first part of this one is more like a soap opera than a super hero show. If you want to fix it, give the characters a purpose, unite them Justice League style and have them fight a criminal mastermind, it can still be episodic, but at least give them something to do. As it is we get an episode each week where the characters just seem to wander around trying to either not get found out or trying to find others like them. Sometimes it feels like a Teen Angst drama without the teens or the drama.
Oh good call.. I didn't think of that. Though it seems like most of the time he can control it, because when Samuel touched him he didn't automatically take his ability.
