How do people go about stopping really f-ing annoying spam? I use Roadrunner. For about the past week, I've been constantly getting 2 emails over and over.

A Genuine College Degree in 2 Weeks Then it says some other crap and has a stupid picture from the right. It is always sent from some yahoo email account that you can't respond to.

Lowest Mortgage Rates Then it says some other crap and has a link on the bottom. I've clicked the link at work - it goes to some "bank" site where you can fill out information to get a free quote - there is no contact info, etc.

Most of these are addresses to someone else and BCC'd.

    What do people normally do?

The only thing not fake about those emails is the web address they send you too. That web address would seem ripe for a DOS attack ;)

I used a site I was directed to by RoadRunner and got this for the mortgage link.

Unfortunately, I'm not tech savvy enough to know what to do with it.

Only yesterday I discussed that my Norton Anti-spam has an option to identify any email as a piece of spam. I assume that it will block that address from my inbox so I don't have to deal with it.

Just one click and it goes to work.

I figure it will take a couple of weeks of identifying these sources before the river of spam dries up. I hope so anyway.

EV1.net (and Earthlink may do this too) will allow you to block spam via making your email go through a serious of tests before putting it into your mailbox.

I think Mailfrontier has a retail product.
