I need a program that I can use to make charts and graphs.Something light and easy would be preferred...I don't have excel or anything else like that installed,right now.
Do you happen to have MS Works on your computer? You can do graphs/charts from within its spreadsheet program.

continuing with the free theme. Sun office is another suite of packages that is free. It's certainly isn't light. and i sure hope you have a fast connection, the download is 76MB http://www.sun.com/software/star/staroffice/5.2/get/get.html free is good.
Excel is the best for me. I use it for everything. Actually, any MS OFFICE program has this function for making graphs under Insert->
