Is there a way I can configure MS Word to automatically insert a footer on every new document? Like, for example, the document's filepath?

    Open a blank document.
    Get into the footer.
On the header/footer toolbar, select Insert AutoText > Filename (or whatever).
Save the file as a template (.dot) in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\[your PC name or login]\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates

When you open a new Word doc, select that template.
