Actually $12,000 is alot cheaper than it used to be. The wife and I thought we were going to have to go in that direction late last year. It was going to cost $9,000. Luckily, we didnt have to, but we did have to pay thousands of dollars for genetic tests and whatnot in order to find out what was going wrong. My wife actually has corresponed with this person. Last she heard, this girl is pregnant with twins.

Guys... For those of you who are unfamiliar with the invitro process, it is an absolute nightmare. My wife and I went through 2 cycles before we ahd our first child and 3 more before we had our triplets (multiples are very common when you do invitro). The cost is around 12-14 K for the procedure and the drugs are another 5-7 K. Many insurance companies dont cover anything. It is truly one of the hardest thing a couple has to go through. We were lucky (if you call 5 cycles lucky) but many people are not. On top of everything, the drugs (lupron for example) have major side effects and the "down the road" effects are somewhat unknown, but sometimes to cancer. I'm only saying this because if someone on the board is going through this procedure, it is far from a joking matter. I am sure no one meant to offend anyone by making a joke about it but I can assure you that if anyone on here is currently going through the procedure, or considering going through it, they aren't going to find it funny.
