Hey guys, I am in need of some camera savvy folks for some advice. I have a Nikon coolpix 3700 digital camera which I dropped on New Years eve (yes I was wasted). When I try to take a picture now though, the screen is black. I can still view old pics on the SD card and utilize the menus and stuff on the camera with no problem. Only thing that is not working is the actual taking picture part! The camera will still flash and make the taking picture sound and save a pic to the memory card, but the pic is always black! Any help? I have been looking around for a new dig. camera, but would rather fix this one if it can be done economically by myself or at a camera shop b/c I really love the quality of this camera and Nikons in general. Either don't drop your camera or don't use it when you plan to get wasted. Seriously though, it probably would be cheaper to go buy another one than to get it fixed. And no warranty is going to cover since its dropped.
