now i know a lot of you guys are not gonna like this post and say there is hundred of them already, but i was just watching some old tapes of steve francis when he was on the rockets and i can say one thing he showed more love a passion for the game, organization and city than any current rocket player. He got the crowd into the games as well as the other players. I for one want to see him back with the rockets with out loosing tmac and yao of course he would be the rockets vince young and get every playing with emotion even if thats all he would bring i think it would make us that much better.

he definitely had heart. Also sometimes he would step up for Yao back when Yao would be confronted and did not know how to respond. That's is about all i miss about the guy though. I used to think Steve was a "great" player. I was spoiled into thinking that it was possible to have at least one great player on every team because we had someone like Dream.

It took us bringing in Tmac for me to realize steve was only the best player we had. Not a truly great player. Unfortunately Steve believes he truly is that great. Untill he realizes this, he can be detrimental to any team.

Steve has heart, no question about it, but just as most other players would, he needs to be in a situation he's happy with or you won't get his best every single night.

Stevie played with heart and passion in a Rockets uniform because he truly loved this city and didn't wanna be anywhere else. It's not an exaggeration when I say that it tore his heart out when he was traded, I think he lost his passion and love for the game the day he was forced to depart this city...I just haven't seen the same Stevie since he left us.

I still root for him and Cat and Sam and Horry and all other former Rockets whenever we don't play them, I really wish them all the best, they certainly gave us their best when they played here...

that's why every team needs a player like ron. someone that scares the **** out of the other team and even his own team. that edge is really important.

remember, mad max gave us that.

all that heart has earned him one playoff appearance in his entire career. in a league where more teams make the playoffs than don't.

Well at least admit that the rest of the team was flat out bad. Who else resembled an NBA player besides mobley on those teams? Subpar talent alongside one good player won't get you into the playoffs. Ask Kevin Garnett about that.

KG led his team into playoff many times, though only the 1st round.

Sure steve has heart, that was never questioned. The question was does steve have a head, the jury is still out on that one

Anybody remember the game after the trade where Stevie Franchise went to give Yao a high five after he made a freethrow, then remembered halfway through the motion that he was on the other team? Makes me sad every time I think about it.
