Cuttino, Francis and The Gizzard [He has to EARN a W from me]seem to like it Seems like Francis was wearing black in the 1st half and then white in the Second. He needs a Blue one [or an old Red and Mustard one] Rocket River
i think they should do whatever they can to win.. black headbands, white headbands, black shoes, no socks, no shoes... whatever little kharma or mojo they can get, they should take!!!!!!!!!!!!! we did win with the headbands over the golden state worriers.... rockHEAD [This message has been edited by rockHEAD (edited January 14, 2000).]
I like the headbands. Its pretty good, makes them play better. Do you guys think they will always have a surprise every night?
Whatever it takes! If they each scored 20 points wearing dresses, I'd buy them all gift certificates to Donna Karan!! ------------------ Just Win Baby! More Than Four Times!
The headbands need to GO! They look unprofessional, the lack of discipline this rag-tag roster has shown in their play has finally broken through to their dress. The headbands only serve to finalize their status as the basement dwellers they are. I don't think you'll see Hakeem wear one, and if Barkley and/or Clyde were still around, these Rockets wanna-bes wouldn't be wearing them either. I guess Barkley saw the true picture back when he was complaining about all the new punks. In the past, I've always laughed at the basement teams and their immature displays of individuality. Now I've gotta look at it here at home. Rudy, what are you thinking?
I'm wondering if the headbands were some sort of tribute to either Carlos Rogers' brother or Bobby Phills? I haven't had a chance to check out the Chronicle yet. Old School
Some of you need to calm down, they're just headbands, they can take them off. It's not like they're shaving lame designs into their hair. I really doubt Dream, Charles or Clyde would have a big influence either. I can just imagine Steve putting his headband on in the locker room and Clyde staring him down until he takes it off.
Didn't like 'em, didn't quite HATE 'em either. I think it depends on the player too. Walt looked okay in his, but Francis looked r****ded in the black one. Moblye didn't look all that great, but then again I'm no fashion consultant... ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem.
It's stupid. First, Bonzi wore one for the Blazers and then the rest of the younger guys started wearing them like Rasheed and Brian Grant. Next thing you know, Arizona University team is all wearing them. Now Houston. It's kind of like the headshaving thing where everybody on Indiana or Charlotte decided to do that. This is just less dramatic, not as ugly, and a boon for the apparel manufacturing companies that are already in the "headband racket". Pretty bush league. I agree. Most stars wouldn't get in on the act, but we'll see as time progresses.
whatever happened to the WWJD (what would Jesus do) wristbands that drew and frances were wearing at the beginning of the season? as soon as the rockts lose a few in a row, the headbands will go...however, they are in a stretch where they should put together a modest winning streak...
Denver Pre-game had a spot on headbands. All the reporters were wearing them. I'm considering buying 20 of them for my section to wear at the Miami game. btw: the spot made it appear like it was Francis's idea to start wearing them. Walt did it first. And Stevie's agent seems to have talked him into wearing it for only the first half, so he doesn't show up at ESPN highlights with it.
