Does anyone else think that Steve has hit a bit of a "wall" the past few weeks, and his shot has suffered because of it? We all know that he's got an assortment of injuries, and unfortunately they seem to be taking a bit of a toll of him as the Rockets have been making a playoff push.

Either way, I'm COMPLETELY happy with the season that they've had.

    Thoughts?

Yes, he and Mobley both. I think they have played too many minutes this year and had to carry too much of a load. They're both burned out. Their minutes need to be cut or they'll both be retiring at a young age, IMO. Also, they haven't learned to conserve their energy. Always going for the spectacular dunk on somebody takes more out of you than just laying the ball up.

I haven't watched them much at all, but with Steve's rebounding numbers as high as they are and as "small" as he is, I'm sure he's been receiving some punishment throughout the season. It's probably now starting to take a toll. He's also seemed to sprain his ankle(s) repeatedly throughout the season.

One thing that worries me is Mo Tay's tendinitis, especially if we still have him on the team next season. How serious is that? He's just a kid in the league and to already be getting those problems doesn't look too good. I know Vince Carter has that "jumper's knee" problem as well.

Yeah I think he is beat. Having to grab atleast 10boards and score 25pts just for your team to win will break you down in the final couple of weeks.

I think they've hit a "lack of experience" wall. Especially Mobes.

As for the season, they've surpassed every expectation I had, so I'm not unhappy in the least.

All they need is a little more experience. Next year, playoffs.

hmmmmm, i, a junior, post pretty much the same thing about the rockets being tired, and fading after the impressive push last month, get no reply. but a "member" posts this, and an overwhelming concurrance from other similar "members". what a stupid little click-ish sh** is that? so, i'll reiterate:

rockets performance is not nearly what it was because they are tired....rocket season still impressive....i still love 'em....yes i am a bitter, bitter man. =)

I also want everyone to know that I am bitter only one person responded to my "Mobley played 48 Minutes" thread.

See if I reply to your thread next time, then.

You have gain respect on the board before BBSers will consistently read all of your threads. But even then you may not get a response.

Look at it this way gram!, Heypee is well respected on the board, and lately his threads have not been responded to.

I think a mistake new members make often is to want to post new thread in order to be seen. But if your posts are well written and well thought out, people will notice you, even buried in another BBSers thread.

whats gay (and i don't mean "gay" in the well mannered, clean, and really goodlooking sense of the word) about the whole logic behind all this sh** is that this is a popularity contest. i thought that people could come here to discuss our favorite houston basketball team, and not this pathetic attempt at feeling special. i guess i was wrong. whatever.

Yeah, did you see Mobley just sit down that once time against the Nets in protest of a no call. Usually he chases the ref. He's definitely tired out. And Francis is not hissy-fit hopping around as much either.

I think that during their run they set a standard that they couldn't maintain. Then, when they faltered, I think there were too many hard feelings.

I actually think Francis has been playing as well as ever lately... but he's not getting support, and that makes him look frustrated.

Actually it was all the rage for a minute
Now it's more of a big ole joke

The reality is probably when the original
poster posted it. . . no one notice or
were not ready to acknowledge it yet

    1~3 games is a slump
5~10 games. . . maybe hitting the wall

folx probably dismissed it as a slump because
it was too early to tell
I think he should just accept this as a kind
of round about way of saying: GOOD CALL GUY

gram...there is no logic behind this ****. There may be a BBS ether, but we have all learned not to sniff our keyboards. Maybe you should do the same.

It's been awhile since I've posted, and I don't claim to be a basketball genius (I know I've had some pretty Sh****ty posts) but I got recognized right away by Clutch quoting two of them on the front page.

Stuff gets overlooked, but surely whining, badmouthing, poor-taste language doesn't.
