Exactly...the guy sitting in the oval office embodies sexual harassment. It seems like over half of the men working at the republican news channel have been accused/paying off sexual harassment issues for decades. At this point, any outrage is just amusing.
and your comments here and endless defense of trump show your double standard. and for the record, it appears that harvey weinstein is a total scumbag. there is no defense for anyone who is accused of doing what he did. see how easy that is! yes or no question to rockets legend...is someone who brags about grabbing women by the p***y also a scumbag?
Or a guy who actually abused his position by getting head in the oval office. Clinton fans tread lightly. Seriously the Democrat hero was actually guilty of real harassment
This is the Lion in Winter. 20 yrs ago he would have squashed all these stories now the lion has missed his first kill and the vultures are circling He has been scum seems like for decades and no one was brave enough to take him down now everyone wants to be on the 'right side of history' and taking their shots some are just revenge . . . . . end of the day . . . . if he did all this he deserves what he gets Same with Cosby . . .if you did it. . .you are scum but I ain't going to pin medals on people that come out to kick the corpse 20 yrs later Rocket River
I always thought these perks were the entire point of being a film producer... is anyone really surprised by this? Where do you think the whole "casting couch“ idea is from?
Exactly. Filthy-rich-ultra-powerful disgusting slob of a Hollywood producer is deviant scum...news at 11. See also: Don Simpson
im not a clinton fan. bill clinton is a skank. the most powerful man in the world, in my opinion, took advantage of a young, naive girl. and in the end she was the one who was destroyed and turned into a national joke while bill gets to go around giving six figure speeches and is revered by many. double standard at its worst.
So Democrats are doing the right thing by giving his donations to charities, especially charities for women. Have the Republicans given back any of Rager Ailes donations? Bill O'Reilley's?
I'm not the biggest Meryl Streep fan and have occassionally gotten annoyed at her political statements but this statement is spot on and hopefully something more people in Hollywood take notice. https://www.theguardian.com/film/20...instein-over-allegations-of-disgraceful-abuse
This is a difficult question because many things have changed in 20 years including both the access to info that we have along with standards of conduct. I think it is easy to say that more people should've acted sooner and condemned him sooner, there were many rumors out there, but with limited information we really don't know who knew what when. For example since you bring up Cosby there were rumors even 30 years ago that Cosby was drugging women but how many people then were out publicly condemning him? 20 years ago many on both the left and the right were upholding Cosby as both a successful black man but also one that was preaching things like personal responsibility all the while he was taking advantage of women. Consider though 20 years ago people roundly condemned Woody Allen for his creepy behavior regarding his step daughter.
The problem is that many of Weinstein's victims "consented" (if it could even be called that given the power disparity involved) to something they are ashamed of in order to get ahead, so they stay silent out of shame. They need to be forgiven for that and encouraged to speak out against his far worse behavior. https://t.co/Pk7u7AFmHQ
