you misunderstood me ,GREEN was early expected to be cultivated for long time , but he still cant touch the coach ,there must be sth. wrong with GREEN. HARRIS and JUSTIN is a different story, due to their 10 days' contracts , i think RICK neednt teach them matter-of-fact O&D of rockets ,so it was natural they seemed lost , i can sense coach A like HARRIS ,today ,he gave him so much time ,im happy ,YM was injured , now i look upon HARRIS as an another chinese player ,i hope he can be kept by rockets .

it is HARRIS' first NBA game , he seemed a bit nervious and excessively excite,in general , it is ok .

i'll take Harris he DOES looks like another version of chuck hayes, I don't like however Williams, on one play on the defensive end the Nets shoot the ball the ball bounces right to him for the rebound, yet he's just STARE at the ball, and one of the nets guards almost got that rebound, so what if they're playing garbage time, they KNOW they are being evaluated by the coaching staff, at least show some little life and energy...if Harris can be that energetic in garbage time imagine what's it's like if he's playing in real minutes..i'll say lets Justin Williams go, i don't like him at all..no show of energy, he looks like a dead body running down the court, his attitude will ruin the team..

You have got to be kiddin me about this negative post! This is Harris's first game back and you are talkin like he's been here through the whole season? The kid needs a chance to get in sync with everyone! The job he did against new jersey was good for a first game back. He will continue to improve if given the chance. We need Harris to be on this team. He should have never been cut in the first place!

I would let R.A. and Morey decide if they are worth keeping. They seem to be making good player decisions overall.
It is going to be awful to see all the bad threads started after the Rockets finally loose a game. Next season ;)

I'm not sure how I feel about the two. What surprises me is that we were willing to play a 10-day contract guy (Harris) meaningful minutes before we wanted to see how GGreen would look.

Although I may not be ready to send the new guys packing, I do share some of the same sentiments with the OP. I expected a little more from them so far, especially with all the hype being thrown around here. But as it has been said already, that's why it's a 10-day contract, not a 1-day.

Meaning...when Landry comes back, his big ass'll sit on the bench.

I think he makes the team next year, though.

Harris was with us in the off season during training camp. He wasn't coming in here blind to what he would be asked to do. That is why he was signed in the first place because they knew what he could do and how he could do it within the system.

GG was coming in blind. As is Justin Williams. That is why they wouldn't get as much PT as Harris.

I liked what I saw from Harris. No hesitation, high energy on both ends, aggressive around the basket. 6 points off 7 shots isn't going to get it done, and he needs to pick his spots better so he doesn't get clowned by taller defenders like that...but you can't knock a guy that goes out for his first game and pulls in 7 boards in 20 minutes.

Justin Williams looked pretty awful, but you can give a guy a pass his first time out. He knows he's on a 10-day contract with Landry coming back for someone's job. He also knows he's not going to be a Rocket for long playing like that. Let's see what he does over the next two games if he gets PT.

I thought Mike Harris did very well.

    A positive wow for me.

To big up a big guard that can rebound and guard other strong big guards to spare tmac and shane some times this late in the season is freaking.

We basically got a Bonzi (at least rebounding wise) for nothing.

Mike Harris is steal - he is going to really help us. A master stroke pick up by Morey.

Yeah I know he was here in training camp, but still. It's like how BobbyJ came in here and basically bumped AB out of the rotation without playing a minute on our squad in a regular season game.

I kind of compare it having Green who played many games in Boston, showed some skills and then having the 10-day guys come in and get some PT. I just doesn't make much sense to me.

I have zero problems with the organization giving these guys a chance. Just seems like Green wasn't given the same opportunity. He played on game with garbage minutes, and scored a few. I'm not proclaiming he's all that, but it's better than some of what I've seen from our recent 10-dayers.

Anybody else surprised how many touches Harris got? I mean, it's not like he got open and someone threw him the ball, several times he got the iso in the low block. I'm like, if he can make this shot, we shouldn't have cut him.

I think you watched too much Landry play~and expect him to be Landry no.2~~ u can't really compare Harris to Landry!!! Harris is fine, give him more time.

anyway, I agree they shouldn't wavie Green, harris and william > Green  dun think so

but I heard they might re-sign him in the offseason, I hope they will do it

I think alot of people are missing the point here...

Even if Gerald Green is better than Mike Harris and Justin Williams (i think he is) we don't need him as much as we need hustling bigs. Mike Harris has already shown he can help this team much more than Green would by being active on the boards.

With that said i don't think we really need Williams. He doesn't really seem to be that active, he's more of a shot blocker and we need more hustle than he seems to have from our deep rotation players.

I coached Mike Harris in the Fonde summer league and he showed less than half of what he has in his offensive arsenal.

However, give him credit for flying back from China (jet lag), playing in his 1st NBA game, holding Richard Jefferson so Tmac can rest, scoring 6 pts and grabing 7 boards and doing more than Yao and Landry in their first games. I call that "PRICELESS".

Justin Williams looked clueless on the bench and in the game. Dude's BBall IQ must be very low.

Piff Pouf - Haters be gone!!!
