That was Mike Harris's first NBa game. Green's had 3 years to prove himself.

I really hope the Mavs can pick up Green...He could be a great player in this league...

I have no idea why the Rockets would give up on him so quickly...

Could not have said it better myself.

Is there an age minimum here?

Harris looks pretty decent, particularly for a new guy. I don't know how you can really criticise this kind of effor for a young guy who hasn't played one minute. If he continues to work hard, he'll find a place on the roster this season and next.

Just got play and you're already starting a thread about how Harris sucks? Wow. They've been hoping for a wing player to get some of McGrady's minutes and I think Harris will be a good fit. Sure, he's only about 6'5", but he can play a couple of positions, hustles, rebounds, and can score (all-time scoring leader at Rice). What do you want from a guy who was playing in China, until fairly recently? One of the all-time stupid threads here, IMO, and after we won our 19th straight game.

I don't know enough about the other guy. Seemed nervous as hell and wondering where he was wandering. Guess we'll see. Harris will stick with the team, in my opinion.

    WOW !!!! Just wow !!

What a stupid kneejerk reaction to comment on the performance of 2 scrub players strictly based on very short play minutes. The 2 fellows, both on 10-days contracts, had just team-practice and played with the team for a few days and got very little time to know their team mates, learn the game plan, and gel into the O&D of the team.

Do you remember how long this team gel and build rapport and team chemistry? At least close to 3 full months of November, December and January until the recent surge/winning streak !!

And what level of performance do you expect these 2 newcomers deliver? Flying and dunking tomahawks out from the free throw lines? Snatching rebounds like madmen? Blocking off shots left and right from the opponents?

Man...... such drop in quality of GARM's threads!!!

Harris was very active. He looked ok, but a little awkward and out of synch. He clearly has talent.

Williams I'm not sure about yet.

    Terrible thread, btw.

WOW, not like "wow, what an interesting post," more like "wow, this is some of the dumbest crap I've seen on these boards in many a year and that's saying something."

I personally thought Harris looked pretty damn good considering the circumstances. Hell, even Bucher brought him up on Fastbreak just now.

I thought Harris looked like a younger version of Bonzi Wells with a lot more hustle. I think he will stick around for a while. I'm not sure on Williams, but it appears he won't be playing much unless its garbage time or we are in some serious foul trouble.

Really? What did he say? With everything surrounding the Rockets, it's hard to believe that Harris would get a mention on a national show.

He said Mike Harris is obviously the missing link to this Rockets team. Tmac only has to play 25 minutes a night now that they have this crazy athlete in Mike Harris.

What a great segment. They ran a 15 minute interview from his NBDL Days and China Games. He is also going to be on the Sunday Conversation this week b4 the Lakers Game.

He said everybody's been stepping up for the Rockets. Then, he said they just signed Harris Saturday, and he's already making a solid contribution.

    Did you watch the game???

Harris did an outstanding job in his first NBA game. You can see the dude was so nervous when his name was called upon by RA. Yao scored 0 points in his NBA debut, and Landry didnt do well in his first game either. Mike Harris was solid for a first game. He however needs to pick up defense quick. His offense is more than adequate, but his D needs work.

Justin Williams is a project. Good long body. I like his court demeanor, he looks like someone that can stay.

What's wrong with all the rockets fans on this board?
(1)T-mac injured and the rockets won a game - Trade T-mac
(2)Rockets are 7-0 without Yao - Rockets is better without Yao
(3)Bobby Jackson missed shots - He is frustrating to watch
(4)2 bench players played for the first games - They suck

Are the fans getting bored after 19-0 win??
