Went and saw Harold and Kumar. It was actually a pretty hilarious movie. Definately the stoner flick of the year so far.
Being an Asian kid with many Indian friends, I can personally say that the movie is pretty much on the spot with all it's jokes. Great film, that is if you're into that kinda thing.
Ooh, ooh, can I be the counter-culture figure head for the forum? I saw the film Friday and have waited till someone else posted a topic for it. The jokes are hit and miss, but overall gets my early vote for stoner flick of the year.
Saw this last night. Overall I thought it was really funny. My favorite moments are the cameo appearances by Doogie Howser. I'd say it is the best Stoner flick I've seen since Super Troopers. Definetly worth seeing, especially if you are in the right state of mind
Mos def.... I think everyone in the theater (including me) was in that right state of mind for the movie... everyone was hysterically laughing at the jokes.
Hysterical stuff. We had to stop to rent Van Wilder and buy frozen White Castle cheeseburgers after the show.
funny sh**... my favorite part is when the bag of weed is making kumar coffee.. and he starts nagging on the weed and made it cry
Well that sucks, it only made less than $6 mil over the weekend. I havent seen it yet, but will in the next 2 days, thought it deserved more money than this.
Best part in the movie is when Kumar fantasizes about the big bag of weed being his wife- when he marries it and then later b**** slaps it for making crappy coffee.
The problem may be the fact it's not playing in many places is it? I thought it was only playing in about 1 or 2 places in Dallas a week ago - I could be wrong.
Naw... it barely opened on Friday and I think it was playing in just about as many theaters as The Village, and Manchurian Candidate and other movies that came out on Friday.
im indian, havent seen the movie yet, but if u want to see a good movie which is rite on the spot with jokes, and the whole indian parent thing, check out american chai, it got everything rite on the money
Saw it yesterday, and absolutely loved it! Haven't laughed that hard during a movie in awhile. I wish they had White Castle in Texas.
Just got back from the flick. Oh. My. God. I couldn't freakin' stop laughing. One AWESOME movie. I loved when they rocked out to Wilson Phillips in the assholes' truck. Something I would SO totally do (and have done) NPH... awesome! Just the fact that the stars were Asian Americans had me sold. The fact that it was funny as hell was icing on the damn cake!
I've never had them from the actual restaurant, but you KNOW they'll be better than the frozen-food version you can find at your local grocery store, and those ROOOOOCK. Yummy!
