I think these 2 guys are the only power forwards that will be available at 26. They both are probably the best athletes at PF and both have very good bodies. Williams listed at 6'10 235lbs and Hardin listed between 6'10 and 6'11 225-250lbs. We'll meet in the middle and say he's the same size at 6'10 235lbs. Both have long wingspans and can jump out of the gym. Let's get some analysis and comparisons between the 2.

Hardin is a bit more earthbound, stronger with decent hook shots with either hand. Certainly not a game-changing explosive shotblocker like Sean Williams, but a better rebounder and more polished offensively.

Sean is a lot like Dalembert, average-poor rebounder who goes for every shot and is very raw on offense. He's probably the better prospect because of his athleticism, but getting caught smoking weed repeatedly after many warnings is a huge red flag. Nothing wrong with weed, but it speaks to a guy's intelligence and desire when he won't change in the face of consequences.

what exactly do you mean by earthbound? hardin seems to be a very good athlete who can run and jump.

It would be nice to choose between the two, but Sean Williams will be gone before we draft and Hardin is likely headed back to school.

Hardin can rebound and shoot the jumphook pretty well but his defensive footwork is very poor IMO.I think this weakness of his might keep him out of the 1st round. I think he should go back to school.

just saw sean williams interview on abc13...he's very lean. could stand to bulk up his upper body by about 15 pounds. looks less than the 235lbs than hes listed at.

not much. just said he made some dumb mistakes. lucas said he doubts he'll be there at 26, but his offcourt issues did hurt his stock and said he'd be in the lottery if he didnt have any baggage.

MORE earthbound. He's a good athlete, but it's like comparing Carmelo to LeBron. Hardin is a bit more mechanical and lacks the supreme explosiveness of Sean Williams. I get to watch the guy all the time around here and he isn't on the level of the elite run-jump forwards in the NBA.

Hardin is the best possible scenario for the Rocks. I will be stoked if we are able to land him. This draft is so deep, he would usually be a 10-15 pick.

hardin is expected to sign with an agent and stay in the draft...draftexpress said he was working out for teams in the 15-20 range...he was at our big camp in orlando...he might have a promise with one of those teams.

Hardin staying in the draft is great news. The depth of the draft had been getting shallower, so this boosts our chances of getting a decent PF prospect.

Also, Petteri Koponen will probably move up considerably in the draft, which also helps push down another PF or player who can help the Rockets.
