He is simply because without him being double teamed or creating for everyone else... Everyone else really doesn't amount to that much lol
Ya Lin was crap last season. A player has faults... he has faults. He should attempt to fix those faults.
I think I'm becoming a Harden only fan because he looked good to me tonight. Only issue was his defense. He's helping off his man too much and not getting back on defense. Gave Klay 5-6 buckets that were way easier than they should have been. I don't know if it's his foot or his conditioning, but it's got to improve. As far as his offense, maybe I'll make a highlight video of how many wide open looks Harden got everyone that they subsequently bricked.
This annoys me more than anything else. Don't give me that crap about nobody getting open; he did it plenty when guys were cutting and moving too. And if that really is true, he should pass it off or attack off the dribble instead of forcing a teammate to take a desperation 3-pointer to bail him out, forcing them to take the responsibility for the missed shot while he gets the chance at the Calderon assist. This "play" is my personal basketball pet peeve; I can't stand it when players do this.
No player is above reproach. Plain and simple. The problem is I highly doubt this coaching staff abide by that statement.
of course they don't. I think it was 2 weeks ago when mchale was on charlie p's show. He was complaining that there was no ball movement, mind you he was discussing a loss where the garm's favorite whipping boy did not play the 4th qtr. Mchale made it seem Harden goes Rogue but never mentioned harden's name. I'm more concerned with the lack of effort on D though. Bad shooting nights happen all the time.
When he is on, Harden is an unstoppable offensive powerhouse. His offensive play is not his biggest probelm right now. I agree Harden needs to focus more on his Defense, because team D is only as strong as the weakest defender. All you need to do is listen to Clutchfan chat during today's GSW game to see that Harden needs to focus more on his D.
But it is really strange though. Last year his defense was very good. It's probably because he plays many minutes and get too tired to play good D.
It is selfish to dominate the ball for 10+ seconds & then pass it off to a teammate for a yolo shot at the buzzer. I could care less if Harden Lin or Obama does it, it is still selfish. I haven't seen Lin do that but maybe he does. What I have seen Lin do is pass on wide open 3's to try & set another teammate up for a better shot. That is also selfish as I have said on this board repeatedly. You never pass on a wide open shot that your teammate created for you nor do you dominate the ball & pass to a teammate for a last second shot attempt because you are trying to pad assists stats or protect your FG%.
Season almost over and still not running a damn play to end a quarter, it's so frustrating to watch. That's on McHale though, who refuses to call a TO and have 'em run a play. I've only seen him do it once and whattayaknow, Rockets executed a play flawlessly. Why wont he do it more often? this team is so young, give them some guidance
He needs to work on his defense first and foremost. He is Melo-esque on defense and that is worrisome. He is young and the coaching has to hold him accountable.
