Is it just me or does it look like the joke is on Rafer Alston in this picture? Everyone is laughing except him.... Maybe someone said something along the lines of: Hey coach, why don't we run a play for Rafer to get an open jumper, and everyone had a good laugh at his expensive.... Anyways, happy b-day to the Ming Dynasty....Year 4 is only a couple months away!
IIRC, they were not laughing at Rafer Alston...........They were all laughing at Jeff Van Gundy. This photo was taken in the season opener against Sacramento Kings. Yao and his teammates were laughing madly as Jon Barry made fun of coach Jeff Van Gundy to the entire Toyota Center crowd:- "I hope you are as optimistic and excited as our coach,” which is an obvious jab at Mr. Pessimism — Jeff Van Gundy.
Clutch, is there any way we can elevate pryuen above the level of a senior member to the status of 'dedicated Yao Ming fan'. Something tells me this would be more of an indication of pryuen's place in the clutch bbs.
