Don't take nights off. If you keep going strong for multiple nights, you'll just wake up feeling drunk as opposed to hungover. Take a night off, though, and the hanger'll hit ya hard.

This is more of a prevention thing, but drink some water or something else nonalcoholic/noncaffeinated before bed. Once you feel good, that should be the "peak" and start drinking slower at that point, then taper off. If you finish up earlier in the evening your body has more time to readjust before you go to sleep.

Havent read the responses, but the body has a hangover due to alcohol "withdrawal"...so the remedy is to have a drink. Or, before you go to bed, load up on Vitamin B.

Having another drink is never the remedy. Alcohol "withdrawal" doesn't cause a hangover at all. The combination of dehydration and the break down of the alcohol (toxic) is what causes it. Often times, a water retention pill or drinking lots of water while you drink alcohol can help prevent a hangover because your replacing more of the water alcohol causes you to pee out (since it's a diuretic). In cases of extreme drinking, this will only lessen the pain, but I found that a glass of water every drink or so will prevent the majority of hangovers.

If you become an addict then yes, you will get withdrawal symptoms similar to those, but hangovers are caused by dehydration from the alcohol. Drinking more will not quench your thirst or cure your hangover. Same goes with soda.

Just drink water before and after drinking alcohol.

If it was withdrawl symptoms then moderate drinkers wouldn't get hangovers. As others have noted is dehydration particular dehydration of your brain why hangovers hurt.

The key is preventing it before you go to sleep, any time I've taken a couple of advil and drink at least a bottle of water before going to sleep I wake up feeling fine. Tylenol doesn't work in my experience as a preventative measure.

And if you wake up with a hangover, I haven't found an easy fix for that. I'll do a 5 hour energy and a big bottle of water, but even then I don't feel "normal"

Coconut water, ginger ale, some kind of carb. Zofran if you really need it/have it.

I find just drinking a lot of water after I get ****faced is the key to avoiding them.
