I doubt that, although there may be some 5/5's. I would expect Gamespot and IGN to give it less than 10, although most likely somewhere in the 9 or at least high a 8. (well, that is if it isn't terrible contrary to what it sounds like) I've already seen mixed reviews from the leak with some people calling it above average. Plus, while it does look good graphically, I'd wonder if it could really get a perfect 10 in that category compared to some other games. Maybe if it has several characters on screen with guns blazin while the game stays smooth, but I've seen better graphics than those from Halo and Halo 2. Also, I wonder if hype will come into play. I never really noticed it, but Halo got a little higher reviews that I thought. I wonder if the expectations will go up, meaning what used to be great is now average. I also wonder how they will review it in comparison to other games. With games like GTA:SA, Doom 3, HL 2, etc., the reviewers have been spoiled and may not like something in Halo that is available in another game. Then again, who knows. BTW, just for reference I guess, one game off the top of my head that I can think of that got a perfect 10 from IGN and Gamespot was the Ocarina of Time. Only until a FPS comes out for the Phantom. I don't know if there is one in development, or really any game that is in development for the Phantom, but it will be the best ever.... That was a heavy dose of sarcasm for those that don't know.
That's an ESPN video games/Visual concepts thing. Some other smaller independent labels will sell their games for less than $49.99 now, but really, that's just the sports game by that company.
I just got in from a Halo 2 sixteen person all-nighter at a friends house. Man, this game is so bad ass. It's like Halo, only better. Err.. yeah..
For those who would like to play, we can get a big group together at my house in Clear Lake the weekend of the 13th. I have a 57" and a 32", a network, an XBOX with 2 controllers, and will have one copy of H2. If we can get people to bring two XBOXs, 10 controllers, and two copies of H2, we can have 12 people playing (the 57" has a split screen mode).
The original Halo is really like $20 now brand new. I'm like alot of you, excited about how good this game could be. I remember when I got my XBOX (on the first day it came out) and didn't know about any of the games so I bought Shrek: The Game thinking it was going to be a fun, hilarious game based on the movie. Boy was I wrong! It as a freakin kiddie game! Anyway, I was able to go back to Gamestop and exchange it for another game and stood there for like 2 hours figuring out which one to get. I ultimately decided on Halo only because me and my brother could play co-op on it but I knew nothing about it. THE best decision I have ever made in gaming! Playing co-op that game was amazing and I hope nothing changes, in this regard, in the sequel.
arr! I too be a pirate who has this. But not having english sucks..... so I will wait for the english version of halo 2 buying it of course! *NUDGE* *NUDGE*
If things go right this week, I will end up with a couple of wireless controllers, bringing my controller total to 4. I am currently planning on having people over on November 13th for Halo 2.
I'll just wait, I bought it on Amazon.com. It looks like the enemies are the same tho. How come they didn't add a bunch of new ones? I don't really care, the AI and vehicle control is the best part anyway, so I'm excited about it. I just hope they don't put any flickering bridges in it. I spent about 46 hours trying to get across that freaking bridge only to find out there wasn't anything on the other side. I was so pissed. But great game.
Question to all of you who have it: How did you shrink the ISO to fit on a dvd? Mine is too big for the dvd, and i have no clue what to do...
Put it on the hard drive or get DL DVD's. I dont know if DL DVD's work on an xbox as I have never tried them with it. When a game is too large to burn, I stick on the hard drive.
Hahaha, my friend told me that that was the only place left to go in the level to beat it, and he couldn't get across it. I hadn't played anything other than the multiplayer at that point, but sat down and finally got across after an hour and a half. I hurt him when I found that there was nothing across it and then beat the level.
does any store in Houston install modchips and hard drives for the Xbox, I want to make it into a Media Center
Don't know if it's been posted, but here is the commercial... www.members.tripod.com/namelessmonkeyx/halo2comm.mpg EDIT: right click the link and "Save As"

ahhhh Halo...the reason I bought an xbox. I used to be such an Xbox hater and loyal PS2 gamer..until my PS2 started crapping out on me and my love for Halo was too much to resist temptation and switch out game consoles. In any case, Halo has got to be one of my favorite games ever...single player is fun (but repetitve) but multiplayer is where its at... its like every other weekend my friends get together for all-nighters. And one of my friend's seen a bootleg of Halo 2 and says it looks really really good. And I already got mine preordered.... limited ediion to go w/ my Halo Edition Xbox
