On the camera shot of Hakeem after Landry's goaltend, was I the only one who felt intimidated by Hakeem? He looked seriously intense, I thought he was aching to break out the gold and yellow and throw Oberto's flopping butt on the floor.

ok sorry, fanboy moment over. :D

Maybe he was just having flashbacks of David Robinson not mentioning him when the Admiral won the MVP.

It's funny because the more time passes since he played the more God-like he becomes. When they announced he was there on the PA system and showed him on the jumbotron screen I had chills run up my back. I honestly cannot think of another person alive who gets that type of respect and admiration as Hakeem gets when he shows up at Rocket games.

I'm two for two regarding Hakeem showing up to the last two games I've been lucky enough to see in person.

Hakeem is the greatest of all the Houston Sports Legends. The fact he brought us our only major sports title is enough to warrant that.

It was hilarious when Clyde said "Dream would've caught that one with his chest."

The interior players of today's NBA are weak compared to Hakeem's time. Even now I bet Hakeem could still show these youngsters a thing or two. Hakeem had to battle Kareem, Parrish, Kevin McHale, Moses, Mark Eaton, and Artis Gilmore to start his career than dealt with Ewing, David Robinson, Karl Malone, Smits, Kevin Willis, and Shaq in their primes in the mid to late part of his career. He never had a break in his battles in the paint yet still utterly dominated.

That reminds me...in a recenet interview with Shaq he was quoted as saying that he came into the NBA and took out Ewing, D-Rob and Dream and that no one can take him out--guys hafta go around him with speed but no one can ever go through him. Even though he later says that Hakeem is the best he ever faced I though it was pretty disrespectful, but considering the source, that's nothin' new.

For the record--HAKEEM took out Ewing and D-Rob, only Father Time could touch Hakeem...
