    If he needs to retire than 20 other centers in the league need to retire or quit. He had one bad game, wow.

    Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!

    Lets see, Hakeem is better than;
    Patrick Ewing and David Robinson!
    If they aint gonna retire? Then, why should Hakeem?

    look, i am sorry, hakeem either needs to retire, or stop demanding the ball on the inside. he plays great defense, but night after night, he misses easy jumpers, dunks, layups, and fumbles the ball away. i HATE to see this. i have loved hakeem since he was akeem the cougar freshman. i don't care if the league is full of crap centers, watching hakeem become a shadow of his former self is NOT cool. pleeeez hakeem, make this your last season.

    Hakeem's problem is two things, IMO:

    1. health -- has been a problem, specifically the respiratory probs
    2. desire -- sometimes Dream doesn't look like he cares a whole lot, standing and watching rebounds go over his head, etc.

    That being said, Dream is still one of the better centers in the NBA and he can still outplay most other centers, as evidenced over the last month.

    Besides, we have no one to take his place . . . Cato? hahahaha

    Even if Hakeem is among the best centers in the league, he needs to retire because he is not even a shadow of his former self.
