Anybody else watching the GS vs Nets game? Its only the 3rd quarter and they keep intentionally fouling Josh Boone...I mean this is just gay...I understand doing this near the end of the game, but what is the point of doing it in the 3rd quarter with so much damn time to play? They have intentionally fouled him 3times in a row now...he made 3/4 and is about to shoot his next 2free throws.

I thought it was pretty odd too. I think it's mostly mental with Boone, because his form looks good. He needs to step up the line with confidence, seems like he thinks about the crowd too much. But yeh, he's on my fantasy and he's going to drop my FT% tomorrow morning. But at least he's a beast on the boards.
At 34%, isn't he the worst FT shooter in the NBA? That explains the strategy but it blew up in Nellie's face. BD better get his act together in a hurry; he really melted down at the end of the 3rd quarter. When this game started, I gave the Nets no chance to win. I figured they were playing out the string until trades start happening.
actually boone is not bad, made 6/10 FTs during hack-a-boone. it seems the tactics backfired. The Nets have the lead now.
well they just asked nelson why he did it and he said it was to try to change the tempo of the game but it ended up back firing on him and that Boone deserves a lot of credit b/c he stepped up and made several of those ft's

Not a bad game here near the end. I left it on just because of the hope that GS loses and the Rox close the gap w/ other playoff contenders. Too bad I missed the hack a Boone thing.

Totally agree. It's like everyone got trigger happy trying to play hero by putting the final dagger. G-D Nets. They had this one. Could've brought us w/in a game behind GS.
I don't know what's wrong with Vince but he's pretty frustrating to watch sometimes. Some of the decisions he makes are just dumb.
I definitely second the idea of a daily thread for all other NBA games. Career high from Monta Ellis. This guy is something else. What a schizo game. The Nets spurt to an 8 point lead going into the 4th, making Nellie look like an idiot. The Warriors answer with an incredible run that should have sealed the game. The Nets go up by 3 late and look likely to win, then they go brain dead and let the Warriors off the hook. Typical Warriors game. No lead they have is safe and no lead against them is safe.
Will Magic Johnson STFU about Vince Carter not being able to dunk like he used to. Vince catches the ball at half court takes two dribbles and passes to Kidd. Magic: "see, that used to be a dunk" Carter pulls down a defensive rebound and outlets to RJ Magic: "Vince would have dunked that a few years ago" You would think that Vince used to average 15-20 dunks a game 2-3 years ago.
