    My church is doing this right now, led through our youth group. Thought some of you might be interested. Can be done in groups or individually.

    The premise is to give up drinking sodas, coffee, etc. for 2 weeks and just drink water...take the money you'd spend on those other drinks and donate it to an organization that drills clean water for those around the world who don't have easy access to it.

    Just throwing it out there...do with it what you want.

    Hmmm, I only drink water as it is, so I won't have any extra money for them....

    It's kind of cool though. I knew a girl who was involved with a group that tried to provide sustainable drinking water systems in Africa.

    I'd be donating a lot of money by cutting back on lighter fluid.

    thats my problem..i'm not saving any money, ultimately, because my bottled water costs more than the sodas i drink! i'm willing to take the hit, though. :)
