What happens when we cut a player with a guaranteed contract? Boki, Mooch, Ameichi, etc.......... Do we eat the remainding salary or just a portion of it?
Depends on whether the player was waived as in Matt Maloney or had a contract buyout. The waived player hits for the full amount for the remaining contract life. The buyout player (who can then be waived) hits the cap for the buyout amount proportionately amortized over the remaining life of the contract.
