    The GTX 1060 3gb version is like $199 at NewEgg and it more than outperforms the 970.

    Seriously? I dumped my 970 on power usage alone. The fire sale end a month ago on these used. Why would anyone pay that for USED and outmoded internal components?

    It's still a good card but there's almost no reason to want to spend $180 on a GTX 970 over a brand new GTX 1060. Not a lot of people would opt to save $50 or so on a graphics card while building a gaming PC.
