man that was terrible defense by the lakers. you're down 1 and you give up a wide open 3. i've said it a million times before but i'll never understand how every team that has ever been up 1 with time running down always gives up a wide open 3. without fail, someone will come over to help on someone who doesn't need help and give up the open 3. you just switch and hope for the best in that situation. after kobe's 3, you could've made it a 1 possession game no matter what but walton and fisher make sure to give up the open 3 (b/c walton ****ing sucks). stupid play.

and stu is right, kobe's about to jack up a 3 and miss.

lol, kobe hits another 3 and fisher goes braindead again and just gives up another wide open 3 to jackson. doesn't even attempt to make a real double on baron, just kinda drifts over into an open area and stands there with his thumb up his ass watching jackson nail an open 3. doing it once is stupid, doing it twice is just amazing.

Captain Jack is red hot and B. Diddy really needs to dust off some ashes from his shoulders.

    btw, who's guarding Captain Jack?

Can't tell what play you are talking about...haha.

Kobe is such a stud though, he's not afraid to take shots when the game is on the line, like Jordan, he demands the ball.

fisher and walton should be ashamed of their horrible defense all night but should practically have to apologize to the team for those 2 open 3's they gave up. that's just inexcusable when you're down 1 to keep giving the other team the open 3 to go back up by 2 possessions. you're just trying to lose at that point.

doesn't help that jackson is just an assassin, but you have to know that and not just be a lazy defender.

Are you kidding me, leaving SJ open on consecative possession? Someone on the Lakers should be on suicide watch for that one. I guess thats sums up the Lakers defense...pathetic. If the rox miss the playoff by 1/2 a game, this could be the one that did it.

He helped the spurs win one of their championships. The pacers should have kept him and harrington.

Stephen Jackson is just plain nasty. I know everyone is blaming the defenders for not being up on him, but how far away was he on that last 3 pointer? 28-29 feet? The parking lot?

believe it or not, kobe shoots A LOT of jumpers. he just makes 46% of them (tmac 43%) and gets the benefits of the calls on 90% of his drives (tmac gets less than 30%). 75% of his shots are jumpers. that's the myth that people tend to believe b/t tmac and kobe.

wow so you want them to jack up jumpers all day long???

jackson took 11 3s of his 20 shots (which he made 40%)
davis was 7-20 (and took 6 3s) and didn't penetrate much tonight.

can they play this style with yao???

Yeah, they both have pretty bas shot selection IMO (it's what seperates MJ from both of them). Kobe just makes more of his jumpers than T-Mac does. Sometimes I swear T-Mac doesn't use that gym at his crib......
