So last night watching the baseball game, me and some buddies grilled these fantastic Big FAT Chicken Shishkabobs. Chicken breast, red bell peppers, poblano peppers, red onion, and a grill. Thats it! Very Simple! Damn good! Think I'll have it again tonite 'cept with pieces of garlic in the mix this time. It was so good, I had no room for the ribeye steak

Try cutting up some chicken breast into short, thick slices and then cut up some jalapenos and some jack cheese. Now get out some bacon. Wrap the chicken slices around a piece of cheese and a jalapeno slice and then wrap a slice of bacon all around that and secure with a toothpick. Try to cover the chicken completely so the cheese soesn't mety out. Throw them on the grill and slow cook until done. These are delicious and make for a great finger food.
Here's Kevin's steak marinade: Get a NY strip or a rib-eye cut to about 1 1/2 inch thick (I used to get mine at Cook's on Kirby, but I hear he's moved on to the Central Market)... grind fresh peppercorns on the steak add a dash of garlic salt add a few sprinkles of minced onion take a big spoon and really mash in these first ingredients... Douse (and I mean douse) the steak with soy sauce add a dash of Worcestershire sauce take the big spoon and rub the marinade into the steak again Flip it over and do the same thing... Let it sit for about 45 minutes and take it out to the grill (and you better not be using gas...) Enjoy... kpsta
