For fantasy basketball, I'd take Kevin Love. For real basketball, I'd take Blake Griffin. Love is a great player, but I think he's reached his ceiling. If you watched Griffin vs the Suns last night, you could see how high his ceiling could be. He was like 8 for 8 from around 15-20 feet. When his outside shooting becomes a major threat, there's no way to stop him without throwing 2 or 3 players on him. Until this year, Griffin's best statistical season was his rookie year before the Clippers got CP3. That's because he was the go-to guy in every aspect that year. If he were on the T-Wolves this year, he would be putting up monster fantasy stats. But he's on the Clippers who are a contender and they play team ball to win games. DeAndre is taking a lot of his potential rebounds, CP3 is taking his potential assists, and several players (CP3, Crawford, Redick, etc...) are eating into his potential points. If we are talking about starting a team going forward, Griffin is a no brainer vs Love and Aldridge. You can't teach athleticism.
