OK, so assuming we get Ming, how does the starting lineup shake out?

    C Ming
    PF Taylor/Thomas
    SF Griffin? Rice?
    SG Mobley
    PG Francis

First of all, Griffin doesn't have the size or post skills to play PF right now. Second of all, do we really think we're going to get a starting caliber SF at 15? Even if we did would they be ready to start now? The way I see it our 5 best would be Ming, Thomas, Griffin, Mobley, and Francis. I think that would leave about $24 million in Cato, Taylor and Rice warming the pine.

    Whatever happens, it'll be interesting.

I would play Griffin and Taylor at the forward spots - not necessarily with position designation. Both, especially Griffin, are combo forwards in that they currently have limitations in their games which assists them at one of the two spots but hinders them on the other end at that same position.

In the end, Griffin probably will be a 4, but for now, he probably should be starting and probably at the so-called 3 spot. Unless, of course, the Rockets nab a top small forward in the draft/free agency.

Just realized I posted this in the wrong spot. Sorry, people.
