Okay, that one I <I>do</I> get. I don't really mind if Melchiot and Hasselbaink don't get picked. Their influence is minimal. I would like Zenden to go and play somewhere else. Van Bronckhorst could be a useful player in several positions in case we have injuries.
It's just Dick's way of attempting to expand Dutch influence in the Premiership. More like a message to the team front offices than to the players.
