Looking to build a PC, mostly for gaming. Right now, I'm pretty set on the i7 950 processor, Asus P6T mobo (but I'm not 100% set on that mobo), 12 gig ram. I was looking at the Radeon HD 5770 originally, but then decided the 5800 series was a bit better, so looking at the 5850 (which is around $300). I was going to try and stay around $200, but I think for an extra $100, the 5850 would be a better purchase. Any suggestions or recommendations?
Dude, the 5700 is more than capable. No need to spring the extra cash for a power hungry 5870. ATI has had the performance halo over NVDA for awhile now.
