Woot, John Mayer won best pop vocal album awesome performance of "Gravity" but wish he did "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" or "Stop this Train".
Carrie Underwood won best new artist. I was kinda going for Imogen, only cause I'm a huge fan of "Details" by Frou Frou, but I'm okay with Carrie. I don't really like her music, but MAN is she hot. I'd hit...multiple times.
Hey let's get together make a crappy album and then say George Bush sucks. We'll dominate the Grammy Awards!
Yeap. You meant Dicksy Chicks, righ? Nice one. that dude behind them... with the long beard, he kept reminding me of:
If it was because of left-leaning politics, why in the world did Carrie Underwood (a country artist) win Best New Artist over others from different genres? You might disagree, but for many people, the Chicks make awesome music and that's all there is to it. I couldn't be happier for them (and I could care less what their politics are).
John Usher, Corin Bailey Ray and John Mayer on stage together was fantastic. The Police on stage together after all these years was just crazy to see.
man, where did i get that???? John Legend. I own 2 of the man's CD's!! I have no idea why I typed that!
I didn't like the song, but the Dixie Chicks' CD was good. Rick Rubin did a fantastic job with production. I'm so up and down with John Mayer. I hated Continum, but I loved Try! He just bores the hell out of me. And his stuff had as much lefty protesting in it as the Chicks did. I actually thought Gnarls Barkley should've won something. Is the Best Rock Album category the most irrelevant in all of music. Neil Young? Tom Petty? Chad Smith said it dead on from the winners' circle, "We need more rock bands." Amen.
Alan Parsons should've won Best Surround Sound Album with A Valid Path Anyone have heard that album?, its nice.
