    and the bad (ie, inconsistent) Channing Frye might be playing this season.

    So many teams are already promising to look sorrier than the Rockets. Even if Martin and Scola were traded.

    Is it really that big of a deal? I wouldn't be surprised if he didnt miss any games...even if he has trouble shooting, he can stay play D, rebound, block....

    Didn't Jay Cutler miss the whole season with a broken thumb?

    I know NFL QB is different than NBA center but still.

    It sure is considering how important a thumb is for a QB. If the bad thumb is not on his throwing arm, maybe...they can still play. IIRC Kobe's been playing with a jammed pinky for the longest time until recently.
