The ASG measures success on a year by year basis. You know there's going to be staples, like Durant, LeBron, Melo and Dwight, but there's always players that show up in an ASG and then never get voted into an ASG again (fans nor coaches). This year was a great year for Dragic, and quite bluntly, probably his best chance to get in. Hopefully, he'll prove me wrong next year.
I agree. Dragic is drawing attention partly because he's playing with scrubs on a team that Vegas thought was possibly the worst team this year. With Bledsoe out he was essentialy carrying the team. Next year his contributions probably won't be as substantial as this year. He'll still be solid, but this year people began to notice his play, it was probably his best chance for ASG selection/vote.
