I have been using the Google Toolbar to block popup for a few months. It worked very well at the beginning. I didn't see a popup for three months then about two weeks ago all in a sudden the popups came back. I am getting at least 10 popups now every day. It seems to me the google bar is not working as well as before. I tried to download and reinstall it again but it didn't help. What's wrong?

I'm starting to wonder if the pop-ups are using some different kind of code now. I have a different pop-up stopper and some are getting through lately.

I'm not having problems with TG. Check your settings.

The blocking is on. Is there any other good popup blocker shareware program on the net?

Download and installspybot run it and see if you have any spyware loaded on your pc. After that if you are still seeing pop-ups you can install adaware popup blocker though in my experience it is not as good as google it will give you some extra protection. Good luck.

    1. Download <a href="http://www.safer-networking.org/">Spybot Search and Destroy</a>, then update it and run it.
    2. Download <a href="http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/">Adaware</a>, update it and run it.
    3. Download <a href="http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/">Mozilla Firefox</a> and use it instead of MSIE, which sucks ass

Mozilla has a built-in pop-up blocker. I've been using it for 6 months without a single unwanted pop-up.

    Good luck!

As the other posters above stated, it's probably some sort of spyware, and not the normal popups from websites. Install Sybot Search & Destory and Adaware (be sure to get the latest updates after installation) and that should help remove a lot of the pop-ups. Also, seriously consider using a browser other than IE. There are several other great browser that are more secure and have more features.

FireFox is a great choice. It's what I use.

Opera is another good choice, but last i check , there is a banner ad built in unless you register.

I didnt know p*rn has something to do with popup. Is that what you experienced?

Anyway, I ran adware and I haven't got one popup since then. So far so good. Thanks for your advice guys.
