One of the great things about CF.net is that when people make a big stink about how important they are and how they're leaving the BBS (see a few threads from the feedback forum, e.g.) -- the powers that be have a way making sure their wishes are granted....permanently.

Farewell texxx, may the one true god Baal protect you through the rest of your days.

Sam, I would like to point out that I was not the one who started this thread, and I have only posted 6 (now 7 with this one) times in this thread, the exact same number as yourself. My posts have made up less than 3% of the total posts in this thread. Contrast that to macbeth's 3 threads welcoming himself back to the bbs and the fact that macbeth accounted for some obscene number (>40% if I remember correctly) of the overall posts in his threads and you see that I'm hardly making "a big stink" as you describe it. I merely included a line in my sig that said I'd be leaving at 6,666. That's it. Then I asked how you would like me to design my 6,666th post. If including a line in my sig and humbly requesting my loyal readership base of their opinion/preference is a "big stink", then I suppose that I'm guilty as charged.

By the way - it appears that option A has prevailed. I'm now working on that post.

"i'm not making a big deal of leaving, now I'm gonna work on the last post I asked you to vote on"

Well, since the people have spoken and you are curious to hear my opinions of the internet personalities around clutchfans, here they are. I kept them to one or two sentences each for brevity’s sake. I originally had requested that if you chose option A, that you specify which posters you’d like me to opine on. I didn’t get much of a response on that topic, so I just took a look at who had at least 2 replies in this thread and gave my opinions on them. Remember, I have not met a single soul on this list. I do not know any of you personally. All I know is what you have posted in this forum – your internet personality. Don’t take any of this personally, since I don’t know any of you.

Sir Jackie Chiles - A well reasoned thinker. A clever poster who understands the game well.
Deckard – He clings to the past using selective memory. Naïve despite his advanced years and yearns to be in power, maybe due to his lack thereof.
Saint Louis – I don’t have a real opinion on Saint Louis. He kind of fades into the sea of liberal doom and gloom that dominates this forum.
Batman Jones – An angry man who is extremely frustrated that his candidates have lost countless elections. Often loses his cool and could stand to drink less.
pgabriel – pgabs has put together some good posts over time. He frequently rehashes personal arguments with people many months/years after the original discussion, though.
FranchiseBlade - This guy lives in his own little fantasy land. He’s stubborn beyond belief, not open to new ideas, and does not have a clear picture of reality.
andymoon – Rivals Batman Jones for least ability to control his emotions. Childlike responses to people who disagree with him and almost always fires back to dissenting opinions with insults, non sequiturs and other nonsense which he tries to play off as refuting somebody else’s argument.
rhadamanthus – Does not respond well to dissenting opinions. Seems to have a few good ideas in him, however.
ima_drummer2k – Drummer has a good knowledge of music and seems to have a good head on his shoulders. A solid contributor.
thadeus – Very liberal poster. Sometimes could stand to put some extra thought into his posts.
tinman – I thought his attempts to throw humor into the D&D were annoying.
KingCheetah – This guy has talent – one of the few liberals who I could tolerate.
SamFisher – SamFisher, esquire, has a good deal of talent as well. He’s frequently wrong, but very thorough and resilient – very curious, also.
Fatty FatBastard – Seeks attention by acting out. Should drink less and think more.
updawg – A short fuse and quick to insult others who do not share his thoughts.
wnes – Thinks China can do no wrong. Doesn’t like to see America succeed.
jo mama – Shows some signs of humor, other signs of hatred of all things Republican. I think he’s a good poster, though.
thacabbage – Blinded by his religion, which dominates his positions and he loses his cool when there’s somebody who disagrees with him.
RocketMan Tex – RM Tex has better perspective than most liberals. He understands the game and is better composed that most others – good humor, also.
thegary – Often relies too much on song lyrics that have little to do with the topic at hand. Voltaire’s quote sums it up nicely, “If it’s too stupid to be said, it’s sung.”
Mr. Brightside – I can’t read this guy. Some good humor here and there.
tigermission1 – Probably the best Muslim poster of the bunch. He’s not as blinded by his religion as the rest and can think for himself.
ROXRAN – A proud American and a good poster. It takes courage to stand up for your conservative beliefs in the sea of liberal hatred, and Roxran is able to do that.
Burzmali – Shows flashes of goodness, will mature with age into a strong poster.
jgreen91 – Good head on his shoulders, a clear thinker and a strong poster.
VooDooPope – Seems like a good guy, although I’ve had limited interactions with him.
Master Baiter – A good poster who stands up for what he believes in, frequently crossing traditional “party lines” in different forums. Has learned the game over time and has matured into a good poster.
Mulder – Has improved as a poster of late by taking things less seriously. He has potential as a poster.
DonnyMost – Donald remains frustrated by Rice’s dominance of UH athletics. Seems like a good man other than that, though – he has potential.
losttexan – A very liberal poster. We don’t have much common ground except maybe on some environmental issues.
CBrownFanClub – Long winded, somewhat naïve and yet pretty smart.
Azadre – Blinded by his religion and has trouble thinking for himself.
Invisible Fan – This guy is a good poster. Has a good knowledge of the energy industry and is a strong contributor.
A-Train – Funny guy, haven’t really interacted with him too much.
Manny Ramirez – ManRam seems like a good guy overall, but will take his frustrations out on others at times. Seems old fashioned in some ways, which isn’t a bad thing.
underoverup – Another very liberal poster who really gets duped by the liberal talking points.
basso – A brave poster who isn’t afraid to stand up for his beliefs in the sea of liberals in the D&D.
SwoLy-D – This guy has a good attitude on life and knows how to post without getting involved in petty pissing matches. A good poster.
MadMax – Often derails threads with annoying conversations with RM95. Seems very friendly but almost like he tries too hard to please everybody.
mc mark – A good attitude and able to throw in humor. Not vindictive like other liberals.
univac hal – Don’t have much info on this guy
Oski2005 – Oski is an angry liberal who was frustrated by being probably the only liberal in College Station for several years.
dc rock – Another angry A&M liberal who was likely beaten down and repressed during his years in Aggieland.

    There they are! Toodles!

Adios, texxx. Ride off into the sunset, and we'll see you on your return, which will no doubt occur, under that moniker, or another. It was fun having you around. Although you may be the same person, I enjoyed this version better than Trader_J. My fondest wish wasn't realized, however, and that was that you engage in real discussions about liberal and conservative ideas. You never answered my question about tax cuts during a war, and your apparent unwillingness to sacrifice during wartime. There are other issues you escaped from without more than hit and run posts, but that one comes to mind at the moment.

"Naïve despite his advanced years and yearns to be in power, maybe due to his lack thereof" Hilarious! Yes, that's me... running power mad through the BBS, starting dozens of threads a week, reporting dozens of members posts to the mods, straining in an effort to control everything. Sure. At least that should give Clutch and the mods a laugh! If you had said that in the context of my wanting my political party to regain some power in DC, you would have been in the ballpark, but you never stepped up to the plate, texxx.

Hey, at least I know I irritated you... I was the first member on your list that bugged you. It gave me a warm glow in my tummy. :p

Keep D&D Civil... and adios, texxx! Until the next time.

That analysis is fair. I still live in shock as a liberal of the reality that Bush was elected to a 2nd term. I'll continue to float in my life boat in the liberal sea of gloom and doom drinking my beer for now.

Good luck where ever you are going.

I know not many people here are very fond of bigtexxx, but despite the fact that we're often in disagreement (although we did agree on a few things in the past), I don't think his absence will be a 'positive' thing, it certainly doesn't help in contributing to a more 'balanced' D&D, which is -- for the most part -- left-leaning.

Anyways, I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors, bigtexxx, hopefully you will change your mind and come back after a short/long hiatus...
