American Express Gift Card. 1) They don't have to claim on their taxes 2) They can use anywhere Amex is accepted, which is everywhere.
Function over form to the IRS...there is no "gift" from an employer to an employee. It would be considered income since they would not have gotten the "gift" unless they performed a service for you...so it would HAVE to be reported as part of their compensation. You could try to expense it out and "give" them the "gift", but if audited, they'd nail you. Anyways, if you call everyone around and say they all get $3000...you'll be a HERO.
We're going to offer cash in any bonus as an alternative. But we also want to put a bonus item on there for the visual, as well. To give it some "pop".
Here are some ideas in that price range: - season tickets to some sporting event. They can cost up to $3000, I believe. - a kickass stereo system - a home gym/weight-lifting equipment - a treadmill, stationary bike or elliptical trainer - video game system with a crapload of games - car upgrade package (stereo system, remote starter, car alarm, spinnaz, etc..) - badminton/tennis/squash racquet stringing machine - home security system - a nice, valuable painting - an expensive suit/tuxedo Do any of those sound okay?
My company had the sales meeting in Seville, Spain. Even flew my girl over there. AMAZING.. I have been bleeding for the company ever since I got back. Talk about loyalty and motivation!
Season tickets could work. But we deal with people nationwide. The rest seem too myopic. Just generally things that most people would want. Vacations, HDTV's, these things are luxury items that we'd like, but not necessarily pay for. That's what we're trying to get.
There is a reason we're doing this. We deal with brokers all over the nation. We have a very unique product. It really is superior to most investments out there. But it is new. Most brokers will keep going to the same people they go to and deal with the same products we deal with. We're using this as an incentive to look over here as an option when someone is looking to invest.
Ohhhhh, not yet. We're a very small operation as of now. I'm #3 in a three man operation. But we deal with marketers and brokers nationwide. Believe me, when we start to grow, I'll be the first to let y'all know.
I've mentioned this before. We are able to guarantee a 10% return on peoples money, compounded annually for 4-7 years, depending on how long people want to invest. For example: 4 yr= 45% return 5 yr=61% 6 yr=77% 7 yr=95% Investment is guaranteed through AIG, AXA Advisors, Or Allianz. Two issues with it: 1) $100,000 minimum 2) Illiquid product Needless to say, it's not for everybody. But there is a market for it.
