I dont want Supercuts, ProCuts, Fantastic Sams, or Sport Clips

I dont want Visible Changes or Regis

I want a nice salon that wont "f" up my hair and in the $25-30 range.

Preferably cut by a good looking chick. But that is the least of my worries. My hair is a precious commodity.

    Any recommendations?

Go see Eddie at Charlie's Hair Productions on West Gray. He has been cutting my hair for 10 years and, with long hair (mine has highlights in it as well), you have to find someone who you can trust. He's a really good guy, great at cutting hair and straight as an arrow. :)

I was thinking about doing something with my raggedy head of hair... A friend recommended Chris at the Blue Mambo on Kirby in the Paige Parks building (next to the old Hard Rock Cafe)... I still haven't cut my hair, but I hear he's in your price range...

Once again, another place I haven't visisted, but I hear that Cut Loose on Westheimer near Dunlavy is about $30 and not too bad.

One thing I learned in college is how to cut my own hair.

I like the old-timey barber shops. Phil's in old Seabrook is great. He's been there for 30 years. The atmosphere is great, it's like a step back in time. You get to sip on a coke in a glass bottle while watching old Disney cartoons, and the haircut is $10.

I went to Charlie's for a while, but it just ended up being overpriced for me. I only get my hair cut once every six months or so, and even though it was only $30 or so, I didn't really think the quality of haircut was THAT much better than what I could get at my local barbershop. Eddie cut my hair a few times, and this other chick cut my hair a few times, and in the end, I just decided it wasn't worth the money. Part of that has to do with my crappy hair though . . .

Wow, Phil is still there!?! I used to get my hair cut by him years and years ago. That old coke machine was my favorite part. It was 35 cents for the longest time.

He charges $13. He's on Memorial Drive near Tully...in the little strip center that has the Baskin-Robbins...across the street from General Joe's.

I think I only spend not much more then $30 all year on getting my hair cut. $30 a pop would really add up!

8 bucks for a haircut at the barbershop on 11th Street... The Rushmore barber shop... it's actually called Doug & Don's Barber Shop.

I'm pretty darn sure. I think my dad still goes there. I have been shaving my head myself for a while so I'm not 100% sure. But now I have been growing my hair out and I plan on going there this weekend actually.

I have never told Phil this, but he took me and his daughter on a "date" to the Galleria in 1980 when I was in 5th grade. (I met his daughter at the b****in roller skating rink by my house, but we went to different schools.) Well I fell on the ice rink there and broke a bottom tooth in half. I didn't get my first hair cut from him until I was 15, I didn't recognize him and put it all together until much later. :D

Go to Kitsa's in Bellaire and ask for Debbie. She's hot and a good stylest. Should cost around $25 but ask first.

Actually let me double check that that is the name of the salon. Kitsa is the owner.

I can't help it. My hair and a standard barber don't go together. Barbers don't get long hair.
