I knew from the begin of the season, when he was macontent that he wasn't being paid as much as Steve Francis and whining about security that Rudy T would do the right thing and get rid of the cancer before it spread.

Once again the Rockets show class by dumping a loser.

WTF? Of course Kenny wanted a contract extension. What NBA player wouldn't? But he didn't harp on it. He didn't disrupt the team chemistry. He went out a played well in his minutes and outplayed Griffin and that other guy...you know, the one who can't defend or rebound and made a huge fuss over playing time. MoT is the one who whined. Get it straight.

KT didn't necessarily whine but looked distracted the whole time on the court. We all knew one of them was going to get traded before the season ended....KT was the most obvious choice.

KT was tradable because MoT isn't. He for Posey was a surprisingly reasonable deal for each of the teams involved.

KT - do great in Philly. And, J Po, make the Rox the deal's winner!

    Okay...actually

KT made a bunch of comments in the locker room but it didn't affect the trade. They had to trade him anyway.

Mo Taylor is paid a lot but he is getting better.

    Go Rockets

Must take one to know one

KT was the hardest worker on the Rockets before Yao came. The guy wasn't my favorite but I respect him for his effort.

    Lets clarify two things:

KT was tradeable because he was an overacheiver, a hard worker, came off a great season and had a small contract.

MT was not tradeable because he is somewhat of an underacheiver, a soft player for a PF, came off a season where he was injured and had a large contract.

If all things were equal, Mo would have been the one Rudy was shopping and not KT.

Also, if you are gonna call KT a malcontent and a cancer, please provide proof. Because I sure never got that impression. :D

KT is just the whiner type. He let his contract situation affect his play. KT was playing terrible basketball mixed with 1 terriffic game and 2 decent ones.

The only reason Mo and Griff weren't playing better was because KT was eating up their minutes, so they couldn't get consistent. Surprise surprise, MoT shoot 50% or better in both games since KT's departure.

KT was a hardworker, and he'll have a great season in Philly. But that does NOT mean he was going to have one in Houston. We don't play the same style of basketball, and he was killing our flow.

Kt has to realize that he works hard, to make up for being short. He's not doing anything extra, so he doesn't deserve anything for working hard. Who doesn't work hard on our team? Rice dropped 20lbs, MoT dropped 10, then got hurt, gained weight, then lost 30lbs, Francis is the hardest working, Cat is the same, and Cato has been like them for 2 seasons now.

Hardwork is something you HAVE to bring. For a 6'7 PF to NEED the ball to be effective.....that's just not a good combination.

Yep... Mo Taylor has been doing wonderful. He is getting better and better. Mo Taylor was about three hundred pounds...and now he is about 260.
Kenny Thomas does not fit our style of basketball.
Steve, Cuttino, and Yao are the ones who practice the most. They are "the first ones to come and the last ones to leave". Steve bought a house next to the gym to practice all the time?
Sane, you like taking one inch off every player's height. How tall is Yao? You know Moochie is really short. And Charles Barkley added some inches to his actual height. Isn't Charles a great TV host?

The Kenny Thomas trade was not a great riddence. But we had to do it. So stop talking about it!!! And just watch the Rockets develop.

Hehe. If you think KT is an inch taller than 6'6, then you shouldn't be defending him. Let's just say 6'7 is very generous.

MoT and Griff were getting the same minutes before the trade that they are getting now but they didn't take advantage (check out the game logs. THe only guy who played with any consistency at the 2 spot was KT. He was simply playing better than the other two.

And it's nice to see MoT get 1 rebound against Minn in 20 minutes. A 6'9" 260lb PF who's career average is barely 5rpg...that's a BAD combination.

Even if they were getting more minutes, they are all at PF, and consistent.

Look at KT's stats. They're not very flattering. Avery Johsnon could've been a better PF than MoT and Griff. But by the end of the season, I'm sure MoT will be having a better season that KT.

I was a big KT supporter. I noticed whenever KT got the ball when Yao was in, he ever passed. Maybe he knew he was going to be trade and was showcasing his talents. I wish him good luck in Philly. The ball now goes through Yao!!!!

The only reason we traded KT was because his trade value was as high as it was going to get with him getting so many minutes and because it would be very hard to sign him for the contract he deserves after the season. KT was the hardest worker on the team without question seeing as how he came in as a 260 pound pf who was called lazy and was being compared to Barkley and has since turned himself into a 240 pound elplosive sf.

MoT and EG have something Kenny T will never ever have:

    Talent.

    Philly got duped.

Philly fans will rip KT apart.

MoT has'nt show jack that he is worth for the ROX! If only Mo T is tradable, I would wished to trade Mo than Kenny.

Kenny was highly touted coming out of college. Some compared him to Elton Brand. The only knocks on him were his size and, proved wrong by KT, his work ethic.

Both Mo and Kenny needed to go. Neither one was good for Yao.
Lets hope to dump Mo by the end of the year. Good riddance KT.

Yup, eventually, Mo will have to go too. But KT had to go because of the way his contract was affecting his play. He also didn't fit into our system.

He also was NOT the hardest worker on the team. Francis and Mobley are the hardest workers.

On our team, hard work is a requirement not a skill. Look: Francis, Mobley, Rice, T-Mo, MoT, Cato, Yao Ming, Moochi (dropped lbs).....

KT isn't a PF and he isn't a SF. He'll always be a bench player for a good team, or a starter for a bad team.
