Because it is fun !!! Jeff, I see your point, I just feel like I wasted 5 years of watching terrible basketball, and after all this time, the sun has poked through the clouds and a ray of hope is streaming through. Sure, hate on my giddyness at 2 1/2 underacheivers being traded..... They are still gone !!!! And I am still giddy ! DD
what is everyone going to do now that our gaurds have been traded. There will be no one left to b**** and moan about. I hope it doesnt spell the end for the clutch bbs
Oh cmon RR, you're the last one that should be accusing anyone of bias. You love Steve like he's your closest relative. Not that theres anything wrong with that, but sheesh.
He might have a biased towards Steve, but he has a point. Steve might not be one of the true superstars in the NBA, and he might never be able to lead a team to a title, but to declare that an 18 year old rookie is more of a star than someone like Steve Francis is a lil odd to me. For all we know, Howard might be the next Kwame Brown.
Don't worry...after the first game in which McGrady scores over 30 and Yao scores like 12 - the proverbial **** will hit the fan here, I can guarantee it.
That's right. Howard development is up in the air. But come on. Do you really think that Francis is going to carry the team?
This makes no sense. You acknowledge that Howard's development is iffy at this point, yet, you think so low of Steve that there is no doubt that this is Howard's team and hell be the bigger star??
That's right. The Orlando staff is hedging their bets on Dwight, not Francis, to carry the team in the future. If anything, Francis will ride the coatails of Howard. Not the other way around. If Howard turns out to be the next "Kwame Brown" then that team is going nowhere. What? Suddenly, Francis is supposed to become "great" or something? Please...
codell, let me ask you this? What happens if you remove Dwight from the equation in Orlando? What line-up do you have? Francis Mobley Cato That line-up seems familar doesn't it? So, is that team good enough to challenge for a title? Like I said..they are betting the farm on Dwight.
I am PRO ROCKETS past present and future [EXCEPT PIPPEN THAT SORRY SACK Of . . . . ] You should see my defense of KT [still a favorite of mine .. we will regret letting him go or we do] Rocket River Sargent of Arms of the Grandville Waiters Fan Club
Again, it takes time... He will be just like any other H.S. player that entered the league in the past. They have to wait for him to develop like McGrady or KG. True, how good he becomes is a mystery. If he becomes the next "LeBron" then it's more promising for them. If he struggles...they play the wait-and-see game. But without Howard, they are sunk! Unless you can name a FA that would go to that team in the mean time: Duncan? Oneil? Who?
With the fans like that, who wants to on this team??? I am glad that Stevie is gone and will not have to be responsible for every YM's sorry performance.
This thread is still going? Give it up boys, let TroTrollkota and DavidS have their fun, evidently even Steve's departure isn't going to stop their redundant, hackneyed b****ing. Just let them be.
