The thread title might sound like I am bashing, but I am totally geeked about Steve, Cat and Cato being gone. Some things to look forward to now !! 1. A PG that watches his man, and plays good team defense. 2. Guards that can run a fast break without the ball actually touching the floor. 3. A backup center that can catch multiple types of passes instead of just the soft alley oop. 4. A PG who can average better than 2-1 assist to Turnover ratio 5. A SG who can actually complete a pass on the pick and roll. 6. A PF who has range beyond 2 feet. 7. Team basketball IQ doubled instantly by removing the 3 cancers. 8. A team that recognizes they have a 7'6" guy standing under the basket, and knows to get him the ball. 9. A PG that can catch and shoot instead of catch and dribble. 10. A team that actually gets into it's offense before the final 8 seconds of the shot clock. Those are some of the things I am looking forward to out of the new team....feel free to add more to the list. Oh, and Steve, Cat and Cato... 5+ years - 1 playoff appearance.......GOOD RIDDANCE !!!! DD
Altough agree with you to some extent, it's still a bit mean...at least they gave their heart and sould to the team. It's just that their lack of skill couldn't be made up from their effort. I do hope Steve find the run&gun more to his liking in Orlando, and do well there, except when vs Rox of course

These two backcourt bozos are incapable of leading a team to anything other than the lottery. I mean both have a terrible case of...thinking they are better than they are..... as far as those guys as players....im glad they are gone. but as people, im sad to see steve and cat go.
You may have made some other good points, but MoTay has more range than J. Howard...and it is for sure more than 2 feet.

Well, I can say for me and DD, we didn't like SF on this team. He just didn't fit. Mobes and Cato, great players, but they had to go. But now w/ T-Mac and Yao running the squad, it's going to be an awesome 1-2 combo!
My point is that we already had a power forward that had range beyond 2 feet. How could you look forward to having a PF with a range of more than 2 feet when we already had that in place?
Starting power forward...JH will start MoT is a 6th man. Cato was the starting PF last year....just go with the flow dawg.... FLOW !!! DD
I'm not glad that Cat is gone. And I wish we had a backup center. But BB should make up for Cat, and hopefully that center problem will be fixed, and that, quite soon. Steve? He played with a lot of heart.....when the other team was called the Lakers or Kings. Didn't seem to care that mediocre point guards on other teams always brought their A game against him.
Threads like this are going to get us a season ending injury to TMac or Yao. Don't spread bad karma on this board.

I will not miss the unforced errors. Fancy passes resulting in turnovers. Dribble, dribble Think you are better than teams that keep beating you badly. Other than that, We have along ways to go. I hope we play good solid basketball.
Cutturnover Mobley?? You're making me angry DD. First off Kobe, T-Mac and Rip Hamilton are just a few of the other top tier shooting guards that averaged more TO's per game than Mobley. Maybe we should label them Kobe Bryanturnover, Tracy McTurnover and Rip Hamilturnover just to be fair. Additionally, Cuttino has shown more growth and improvement in his game than you give him credit for. He has improved his shot selection year after year, has become known for getting the tough defensive assignments and whether you like it or not, has improved his passing, including working the pick n roll with Yao(go check the tapes). I'm glad Steve Francis and his big mouth are gone, but I will really miss Mobley, his game and his energy.
