Good PS1 Games

    I never got into this console during its heyday and am intersted in what it has to offer.

    So far I've picked up:

    Final Fantasy Origins
    Final Fantasy Tactics
    Metal Gear Solid
    Syphon Filter
    Tomb Raider

    Any recomendations?

    I'll second that. FFIX is worth a look too. I personally liked it better than FFVII.

    Vagrant Story was excellent. And I also think FFIX was one of the best of the series.

    All of the Syphon Filter games were fun.
    Castlevania - Symphony of the Night

    I hear some of the Medal of Honor games were good, but never played them myself.

    Man, Syphon Filter could have been a great franchise just like MGS but they totally screwed it up. the sequals had control and camera issues up the wazoo. puzzle fighter and hitman: silent assassins are also great games.

    I can't believe I forgot this one! Definitely one you should get.
    Also, if you like RPGs, see if you can get copies of Suikoden and Suikoden II. II is really rare for some reason but they're both GREAT games.

    Wow, a lot of great games mentioned, especially Suikoden I and II; if you have a PSP, you might catch a break and find them on UMD in the near future (if Konami is smart enough to bring them to NA). As for other games, Star Ocean 2 ("The Second Story" or something like that) was a great game, IMO. I also loved Parasite Eve 1; never got to play much of Parasite Eve 2, but I heard it wasn't as good. Chrono Cross is also pretty good, IIRC. And to break up my string of RPG games, Silent Hill would be a great game to check out on the PS1.
