Today, I received this email:

Coming very, very soon we will be launching It's MADNESS!, Full Count, and Classic Fantasy Football....

Didn't the World Series just end? Yes, but it is time to start thinking about next season already. The hot stove league has been wild this off-season, which will make this year's Full Count season one of the best of all time. Ever dream about playing Fantasy Football year round? What about a team that consists of Joe Montana, Jim Brown, Tony Dorsett, and Lynn Swann? Well, Sandbox is making both of those dreams a reality! Coming very soon Sandbox is going to launch Classic Fantasy Football. Apologize to your wives for us, but Sandbox is making sure fantasy football lasts all year round!!

    ===============

It looks like the buyout deal for CBS to purchase Sandbox fell through. I, for one, couldn't be happier, since I've always thought that Sandbox had the best format for fantasy sports games.

If all goes well and this comes to pass, the BBS fantasy baseball league will stay at Sandbox. I think Yahoo and CBS Sportsline are a cut below Sandbox and I don't want to move to a different format unless I absolutely have to.

The Classic Fantasy Football game sounds cool too. Someone here should start a league when that comes out.

more reason for you not to join.

everyone in the league has injuries, deal with it, there were plenty of good players, especially defense early on in the year and you just went into "i am dipstick" mode

    stay out!!!

Just face it chise - your actions have forever put a hindrance on you ever joining a big fantasy league - whats make it big is that no one ever quits, and all now know that you are a quitter :p

No point in crying about it franchise, you quit, you even admit to quitting, no matter how much you promise you'll be active, it's too late...

You should have realized that quitting on Smeg's league would blackball you from other similar leagues in this forum...

I would like to note that I would have significant interest in both fantasy leagues mentioned in the original post, and that I am not a quitter.

    That is all.

You're not exactly helping your case there.

Here is some suggested reading material

    Take notes too.

Yeah right. Stick to the public leagues, fran. No one cares if you quit there.

To Pued and anyone else interested in joining baseball this year,

The Sandbox fantasy baseball game is scheduled to open in mid-February. Around that time, I'll make a post here to find out how many people are interested. Last year, if I remember correctly, we only had a ten team league. Hopefully, we'll have enough for a 14 team league this time around. Active owners from last year will be guaranteed a spot. Newcomers will be subject to a multiple vote election by the returning members.

I don't know when the new Classic Football game will open. It sounds pretty cool, though, and I'd definitely be interested in joining.

    I am generally speaking

    Chise,

I went out on a big limb when we needed one more player and picked you (much to the doubt of many others) your team got one injury and them go and sulk in the corner and then I have to cop it for picking you to join (apologies everyone else in the league, my bad).

Everyone else seems to have enjoyed the league and the way it was run, YOU are the execption. The league was fairly competitve and one more active player would have made it even better. And then to top everything off you decided to sledge me and say the league wasn't very well run, it wasn't my fault Lewis got injured and it certainly wasn't my fault you decided to stick your head up ass and cry about.

This bridge is burnt out and can't be fixed.

    Smeg
