I don't know what to believe. Who has more evidence?

If it helps, Lake Medina (west of SA) was low and SA is close to Austin...sort of. Had some trouble getting the boat to launch; the waterline was below the ramp.

To get in any decent water you would have to go at least to Sculpture Falls, but probably even father up creek than that.

Fun Free Things to Do in Austin?

Going to Austin later this week for SXSW. Plan on paying to see a few events and watching some free ones as well.

Most of the events I'm attending are at night so I was hoping I could get some advice on some fun things to do during the day around Austin that are either free or fairly priced.

    Suggestions/Ideas would be well received.

I meant to make my own thread, sorry for posting that in here. Although I guess it could but don't want to derail your post.

just hang around the soco, travis heights, downtown areas... even eastside has some cool spots. there will be free shows and people everywhere.

you could always hit up barton springs, the greenbelt, hamilton pool (if you don't mind a 30 min drive and if it's open), zilker park, pease park, et al
