I know almost everyone here is anti-OU to begin with, but I just wanted to point out the great victory the Pokes had here in Stillwater today. I am up here at my parent's place for Thanksgiving and got to go to the game today and watch the Rashaun Woods show in person. He had 12 catches for 226 and 3 TDs. Those numbers put him 4th in the country in receptions, 2nd in yards, and 1st in TDs for the year. He should win the Biletnikoff, but he probably won't. Also, just to get a dig in at all the UT people... We've now beat OU the last 2 years to ruin their season, when's the last time you beat them?
Sadly, it's been since 1999 that my alma mater beat Oklahoma. Interestingly, that's also the last time that Texas beat them (and since Tech beat them later in the season, I guess Tech has beaten Oklahoma more recently than Texas has )
Congrats. I was rooting for you guys. But, I wouldn't talk trash if I were you. I think UT has a 3 game winning streak against you. As a personal rule, I don't talk trash to fans of teams that kicked my alma mater's ass for some time. But, I do realize, everyone has an opinion on Texas.
Congrats. Maybe OSU will start contending for the Big XII South year in and year out now? They would be playing Colorado next week if they'd have beat Texas..... He should win the Biletnikoff, but he probably won't. He should, but you're right, he won't. He's not one of the 3 semi-finalists.
Don't worry, my trash talking was very tongue in cheek because I realize that we never beat Texas or Tech. It's all in good fun. I wish we had gotten by the Horns this year though, because as mduke pointed out, we'd be playing in Houston next week. I hate missed extra points... The Cowboys are definitely getting better all the time. Miles has really come in and gotten the program on the right track. I don't know this for sure, but he is probably our first coach to start off 2-0 against the Sooners. I think he will put us in position to compete in the Big XII South.
I don't know this for sure, but he is probably our first coach to start off 2-0 against the Sooners. OSU is the only team to beat Stoops twice. Wow.
Very impressed with Miles. You guys may be going places. Rashaun Woods should turn pro, but the announcers said he was staying.
His brother is a freshman WR at OSU, and his other brother is a stud QB that will be a freshman next year. He said his dream is to catch a pass from his brother at Oklahoma State.....although that may never happen with the emergence of Josh Heupel II Word around here is that he said he will stay for one more year. And to think, he should only be a sophomore this year.....
Yeah, this Woods dynasty up here in Stillwater could get interesting. Assuming Rashaun stays, and the buzz here is that he will, we will have 10 starters back on an offense that is absolutely rolling. I know the games before OU when we looked so good were against Kansas and Baylor, but we laid more points on them than other teams had managed to and yesterday had over 500 yards against a top 10 defense. Miles is doing a heck of a job and is also the only coach to not allow Stoops to have a lead during a game.
Hmmm.....Josh Fields, Brad Smith, or Ell Roberson(he's a junior, right?) for All-Big 12 first team next year? I'd probably take Fields, although if Justin Gage was back at Mizzou I'd take Smith....
