Now the Wolves are stealing our nicknames. Garnett is now "the franchise."

11 point lead, Garnett is annoying me. So is Lopez, Scuzzbag, Brandon, the Minnesota announcers, the refs, I just hate Minny.

Garnett was the "Franchise" long before Francis.

Franchise just doesn't work for Garnett.
Intense game, but my god I hate Minnesota.
Now Lopez is freaking dominating. I hate them, god I hate them. Bloody role players.

I'm really starting to wonder if Minnesota will miss the playoffs. Right now, it looks like the Rockets could win their last 14 games, and still miss the post season.

Me as well. Minnesota's schedule does get brutal with several games against the Kings, Lakers, Blazers, etc. coming up... but this was not a game I expected them to win and it really really does hurt a lot.

The Rockets hopefully will get a few unexpected wins as well, to make up for this. I think they have a great shot at beating the Jazz. I know that these Rockets have a particular dislike for Utah (much like Rocket fans), and will play extra-hard.
I also guarantee they will beat Phoenix and Dallas. So, the Rockets just need to take care of business and crush the Clips and ESPECIALLY the Sonics!

The way I see it we have our work cut out for us after this Minn win. The Clipps have nothing to lose and are playing like it...the Sonics think that they are still in it and teams like Utah are fighting for the top spot in the division. More importantly can we Really count on Portland.....I didn't think so

Minnesota has always played Dallas well. I hoppe our neighbors to the north aren't just a mere paper tiger.

In the literal sense, yes, but only this season have I heard it been applied to him in the nominal sense.

I just hate the role players on that team.

I've been living in Minnesota for almost 10 years (don't worry, I root against the Wolves). Garnett has been referred to as the "Franchise" since at least the last 4 years.

Crisco - He is also called the "Big Ticket".

I think the "Franchise" moniker came about after he signed that 126 million dollar contract, referring to the fact that since they're paying him so much money, they have nothing left to pay for anybody else around him. Thus, he is The Franchise.

I do think Franchise works better as a nickname for Steve, though.
