I don't complain about the price of gas, much less the hypothetical fraction of a penny/gallon that ANWAR reserves would reduce it by.

arno_ed, I've got a question. My wife's mother was a Dutch immigrant, and she (my wife) has numerous relatives there. We've visited, and have been given tours of the amazing system the Netherlands has contructed over the centuries, with cousins showing us some of the latest projects. So I have a real interest in your country, one that actually goes back to before my wife and I met. My question is, has the Netherlands begun planning for the possibility that sea levels could rise by 20 feet over the next several decades? (by about 3 meters) Is it being seriously discussed? Do the Dutch think they could keep the sea out if that happened? Heck, we might like to retire there someday. I'm curious.

    Keep D&D Civil.

It is always nice to hear somebody who is interested in Holland.
As far as i know there are not a lot of planes made for that scenario.Átleast it is not common knowledge.

However since we already use systems to keep the water out and i think that in that scenario we would use those systems:D. We will probably increase the height of Dikes etc. I think that the Dutch are very confidant that we will keep the water out if that happens.
