Girl Scout Cookies

I never buy from the girls in front of the stores. I only buy from my family and friends kids. I bought 2 boxes each of thin mints, peanut butter chocolate thingies, and some of those frosted lemon cakes. I got them 2 weeks ago. They're already gone............

BTW, my first college roomate, aside from being a complete 'tard, was a boy scout. He hung up his boy scout seal poster thing in the window for ALL to see. So I hung a poster of Stewart Copeland right next to it so people would realize that ONE of the people living in this dorm was cool.

 

caramel, how could I forget those. theys houldn't be legal, there's gotta be crack or something in there.

 

They're made with real girl scouts.

I don't see the fascination with these. They're a box of cookies. Big friggin' deal. They're not even that great. They're not made by Girl Scouts. They're made on a conveyor belt in a cookie factory with many other boxes of cookies.

Boy Scouts oughta go door-to-door selling frozen steaks. A petite filet is a man's cookie.

 

Yes, and it sells pretty easily too. More expensive than the cookies, but alot more servings.


BTW : What is blue and comes in brownies?

 

i always like those huge tins that had three different popcorn flavors..

the caramel always disappeared first, then the regular.. the cheese one usually got thrown out.. i need to just go buy caramel popcorn..

 

keebler makes a cookie called the 'grasshopper' and it is an exact copy of the thin mint. I mean exact.

I am happy I found this out but I am also not so happy I found this out.

 

I thought they were pretty good. Not up there with the thin mints and caramel delights, but were better after the first few.

I guess they're an acquired taste.

 

Those were my second favorite after the samoas.

 

They DO make lemon cookies again.

The cookie you get all depend on where you live. They're regoinal. Like samoas and carmel delights are the same thing but there called different things in different places. Thin mints are the only ones that are universal. In Texas(I think) but Austin in particular they don't sell lemon ones any more.

 

I believe we now have 4 fans of the lemon cookies.

I don't understand why others don't like them. Perhaps they are afraid of them, because they are represented by lemons.

Lemons can have quite an effect on consumers. For instance, if someone walks up to you and offers you an awesome deal on their car, because it is a lemon. You might not buy it, simply because the idiot mentioned that it was a lemon car.

You cannot concern yourself with the name lemon in the name. It doesn't mean "Broken down, money pit" cookie. It means that the cookie has a predominant lemon experience to it.

You might also say something like, "But I am allergic to lemons". This my friend is where you get the proverbial lemon cookie and eat it too. You see, you will not find the citric core of the lemon whatsoever in this prize. It contains awesome ingredients such as:

Enriched flour - Not just any flour but enriched wheat flour. How amazing is that when you don't get the standard boring flour but the stuff that contains niacin and it has reduced iron (in case you don't want to get too heavy eating heavy iron), thiamine mononitrate (probably not as good as Dynamic Duonitrate, but nitrate nonetheless), riboflavin, folic acid)

Sugar - Lets be honest. Whe got to have our occasional simple sugars that break down in the body immediately causing spikes in energy. Why else would we gorge on GS cookies so much. If they contained soy, we would probably pass.

Vegetable shortening - (palm, partially hydrogenated palm kernel and/or soybean oil). Not only can you eat this cookie, but you can lubricate your hair with it - BONUS!!!

Corn starch - That's right. It didn't say lemon starch. There are no lemons in it. It does have citric acid as a "less than 2%" ingredient, but who give a squat about 2%. Heaven is in the 98%!!!

So there you have it. Demand your Lemonades now and don't let any chicks tell you that they are not popular. These ex-Girl Scouts were part of a scandalous troop publishing conspiratorial periodicals and all that impressive word described anti-Lemonade representation.

p.s.
It does contain soy lecithin in the 2%, but don't let that scare you. Lecithin is good for lowering cholesterol and adds the necessary fat cells to your brain.

I am eating Lemonades right now. I love it when my boss buys cookies from someone just to support, and he leaves them "available" in his office... or brings us entire boxes for us to pig out in our cubicles...

"Uhhhhhhhhhhhh... ummm, uh, PETER... yeah, we need to consume these cookies... mmmm-kaaaaaaaayyyy?"

 

Are the old sandwich lemon cookies the same as the new Lemonade ones they are selling this year? I'm confused I liked the older sandwich type lemon ones. I haven't tried the new Lemonades.
